And God so loved the world he sent Trump

To be a light to his people MAGA.

And seeing the multitudes, the Blessed Trump went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him. There was Pete (called Hegseth) and Vance (the Crusader) and many other blindly loyal followers.

And Trump opened his mouth, and taught them, saying:

  • Blessed are the greedy: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
  • Blessed are the vicious: for they shall inherit the earth.
  • Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after violence: for they shall be filled.
  • Blessed are the un-merciful: for they shall obtain their just reward.
  • Blessed are the corrupt: for they shall see God.
  • Blessed are the war-makers: for they shall be called the children of God.
  • Blessed are they which persecute: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
  • Blessed are ye, when you revile men, and persecute them, and say all manner of evil against them, for my sake.
  • Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward here on earth.
  • Ye , MAGA, are the light of the world. A people that is set on an dung – hill cannot be hid.
  •  Let your greed and cruelty so shine before men, that they may see your vile works, and glorify me.
  • Think not that I am come to destroy the law, : I am not come to destroy, but to twist and use it.
  • Whosoever shall do and teach my commandments, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of earth.
  • I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with the world without a cause shall be in receipt of great rewards: and whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in my good books forever.
  • Leave there thy gift before my altar, and go away: for I will spend it on a Bootiful, Bootiful new arch. And ballroom.
  • Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: but this was total bollox.
  • And if thy neighbour’s right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee.
  • It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: but this was also total bollox. Don’t give her anything.
  •  Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: now they got this one dead right.  Whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, nuke him and his wife and children and all his family.
  • And if any man will sue thee at the law, take away his coat, and kick him into the gutter.
  • And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, stick it to him.
  • Don’t give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee tell him to fuck right off.
  • Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. This is bollox: hate everyone and cheat them.
  • Be ye therefore a deranged and vicious narcissist, even as I am.
  • But when thou doest alms, let thy left hand take back what thy right hand giveth.
  • But when ye pray, use vain repetitions: the more vain, repetitious, hypocritical crap you use the better.
  •  And lead us into temptation, and evil: For mine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
  • For if ye forgive men their trespasses, I will send ICE round to detain you in a horrible prison. Or maybe just shoot you.
  • Lay up for yourselves treasures upon earth. They are the only type worth having.
  • No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Don’t serve God: suck it up with mammon.
  • Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; idle fuckers. Are ye not much better than they? You betcha: drill baby, drill. Bugger the biosphere.
  • For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. So wipe ’em all out and they’ll never bother you again. Eradicate Gaza and the entire Iranian civilisation.
  • And it is said Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye. Bollox to that.
  • Give not that which is valuable unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. Fuck ’em.
  • Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Then I’ll send ICE round. Or Pete here will give you a good seeing to.

And it came to pass, when Trump had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: even the great people of MAGA said:

Verily we have a right shit amongst us. Impeach the fucker.

  1. Trump is a symptom of a societal soul sickness. Abigail Adams said, “Remember, all men would be tyrants if they could,” and our collective greed has allowed that very thing to happen.

    1. I wonder? I think there must be a cure. I’ve been on a long extended journey into my soul and it has changed me, enormously. Thank god. There may well have been a time when I might have been a tyrant, if I could. But I am happy to say that years of meditation seems to have done for that one. I can’t help but wonder whether we have it in our own hands to change our collective future. Pity there is nothing to be done about the past. Or indeed present.

      1. If the human race were going to change, it would have done so by now. We have had many, many philosophers and such warning us decade after decade since language became a thing It is plain to see in the historical context of the fall of civilizations, this is a repeating cycle. Unfortunately, because of our global technological connections, the next fall will not be contained to one country.

      2. “ Such viciousness has been the dominant factor in our history since we emerged from the primordial slime.”

Come now, the “dominant factor?” Most people just want to, and do for the most part, live peaceably and be with their families. I am struck constantly in my daily life by the many instances of courtesy and helpfulness I observe. We need to figure out how to focus our vast resources onto that, and to starve our more evil tendencies of support. Things can get much worse, but they can, and do at times, get better

      3. And yet you only have to look at our conduct on the roads where aggression is the norm rather than an aberration. Equally in commerce it’s dog eat dog – again a form of violence leading to the destruction of your rival. And look at Town Councils, parish councils – mini me of the ghastly national politician scene the world over. Admittedly the small people throw their weight around in more minor and less damaging ways than your political leaders but no, I think violence lies just beneath the surface everywhere. But I agree entirely with your recipe and I can hope we make it happen. And yet look at the leaders for peace we have had in the past few thousand years who have got absolutely nowhere. I’m not optimistic, much as I would like to be.

      4. But yes, starve our more evil tendencies of support. I’m hesitant to suggest drastic societal change as it has always led to dystopia in the past. And yet the hierarchical society we have allowed to hold sway since the very beginning has usually led to violence and tyranny. Most recently in the vile and hideous bloke in the ginger toupee. I vote for a flat and egalitarian society with no pyramids of power or wealth. A true commonwealth rather than the violent smash and grab evolution has “designed” for us. As in the Culture novels of Ian Banks. Perhaps after all AI can lead us there. Who knows? An Omega Point a la Teilhardt de Chardin

  2. 1. You shall have no other gods before me: “Praise be to Allah”

    2. You shall make no idols: “ I have Trump Towers and will shave the Trump Arch…” posts picture of himself as Jesus on Truth Social

    3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain: Every time Trump says “Praise be to God”

    4. Keep the Sabbath day holy: “We will end the Iranian Civilisation” Easter Sunday key note speech

    5. Honour your father and your mother: I’m sure they are so proud of their son right now…

    6. You shall not murder: “We’ll look into what happened at the Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School in Minab and get back to you…”

    7. You shall not commit adultery: “She had lipstick on, she must have been old enough…”

    8. You shall not steal: “I’ll take the Venezuelan/Iranian oil…”

    9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour: “We’ll take Greenland, we need it, what rights do the Danes have to it anyways…”

    10. You shall not covet: “I’ll take Venezuela, Greenland, Cuba, $1.5tn from the tax payer, to create peace, everlasting peace, I’m the president of peace…”

If someone breaks all ten commandments every single day, does that make them the anti-Christ?

    1. I feel great sorrow for those suffering at the hands of monsters and there are many monsters and many sufferers. Will it change? Perhaps, if we each work towards a better way to organise our society. Down with “leaders”, down with obscene wealth. Up with equality and egalitarianism is general.

  3. Things are becoming so clear even to people outside US. Even close US allies like UK, Canada etc are having a growing mistrust.
No doubt, even his MAGA support base is getting eroded now.

  4. I am British and a Veteran, I served and stood by American Servicemen, we lost buddies, I will never ever forgive that man or any of his team, he is a disgrace to America and the World, for a so called man of peace he’s caused more conflict and loss of life, than any so called war stopping. My blood boils every time I see him or any of his team on the TV screen, the tripe that comes out of these men and one women is unbelievable. I love your writings thou 👌

    1. Very kind of you. As you will probably have seen, I find the human addiction to violent conflict sad and disappointing. And the domination by the super rich equally unacceptable. It’s not just that horrible bloke either. Unfortunately fascism seems to be on the rise. And then we have Putin and the Chinese. Shocking world! But nothing new there of course

  5. I see what the writer is trying to do here. It’s clearly satire, and honestly, a sharp one. The way religious language is flipped to highlight greed, power, and blind loyalty… it makes you uncomfortable, and maybe that’s the point.

Still, I feel a slight unease reading it. When political criticism starts borrowing sacred tone and structure, it hits deeper than usual. Not just political anymore. It becomes emotional, almost personal for people who hold those texts close.

The bigger question for me is this. Are we criticizing leaders… or the way people turn them into something larger than life?
Because that part feels real. Not just in one country.

    Everywhere.
Maybe that’s where the article actually lands.

    1. If there is one part of the Christian bible I cherish (as an atheist) it is the sermon on the mount. And to hear Vance, Hesgeth and Trump twist religion and state that god is on their side in their vicious endeavours is deeply sad. I feel much the same about the unsavoury twisting of the Koran and the Hadiths by the cruel and equally vile regime in Iran. I am indeed criticising leaders who, given power, turn into murdering monsters. But they are of course emboldened and enabled by their worshipping followers into something larger than life.

This article is indeed very personal to me and I hold the real text very close.

But I cannot and will not believe in a benign god who releases such horror and such people.

I am equally fond of all spiritual traditions and am as happy in a Buddhist monastery as in a fine Norman church.

I don’t believe in Christ anymore than Vishnu or Mohammed. But I find good things in all these belief systems.

It sickens me to see such ideas corrupted by the lines of Trump and Putin and the mullahs.

But religion has always been a sword with two very sharp edges. And sadly has never made any difference to world peace.

  6. Trump reminds me of Humpty Dumpty. When he connives a spot on my platform, I feel as though I’m cutting and pasting the Humpty Dumpty Magazine for little children. Consequently, I have few readers. So now I mostly utilize pictures and YouTube videos and less and less words. It’s safer this way, it seems. And I feel it’s less likely I’ll get deported for posting criticism of this childish President of the United States. What makes more sense to me is in Common Sense by Tom Paine, where Paine advocates arming against King George and his ICE militias, oops, I mean royal brigades. See! I must stick with Humpty Dumpty pictures and YouTube videos…

    1. Weird – I’ll look into it. Thank you. In the middle of the night I once again took the decision to stop looking at the news. There is nothing new under the sun and evil thugs like the hateful Trump have riled the population to kill ever since our species began. Aged 70 I have the luxury of cutting off from the world: and shortly it will be done for me, like it or not. It is not a world I will miss.

  7. Also looking for a LIKE button. It would have been better had Trump had consecutive terms, because the intervening 4 years simply gave his sycophants more time to plan how to crown their KING. Funny, how America threw tea into the harbour to get rid of one king and now they empower another. Cheers.

    1. Thank you. I managed to put one in at the footer right down at the bottom. Not very visible I fear! As I believe the Pope said (?) it’s tragic that a minority of evil things has always ruled the world. The meek definitely do NOT inherit the earth. Nor ever have they.

  8. Firstly, thanks kindly for the like. I realise I’m preaching to the converted but 47/45 is doing a better job of ruining the USA in name and reputation world wide, ripping up democracy, alienating old friends ‘n neighbours in so many dismaying ways, monetising the Presidency in a manner any damned tin-pot dictator would be proud of. He couldn’t do a better job of twisting and bending and destroying American Society than any arch Anarchist. I can only hope he’s finally talked himself onto the ropes but I fear most of his Maga-ciples will still sheepishly believe whatever he (He) bleats on about, contradictory from hour to hour, day to day or week week though it may be.
I personally stopped writing about him because I realised- critically- you can’t hope to argue rationally with the self-deluded. Meanwhile outside of Exceptional Land the rest of the world looks on with shock and awwwwwww.
Me? I keep quietly hoping enough of the indoctrinated see the false prophet for the egomaniacal fu- flim-flam shyster sham of the man he is.
Now, after taking a deep breath, thanks again for the like!

    1. I enjoyed your poetry. Every time I read the news I become incensed. We need deep and very drastic changes in our society to prevent such terrible inequalities in political power and wealth. Thank you for your very useful comments – it’s so hard sometimes to stick to the conclusion that it’s only a small minority at the top who wreck life for everyone. Mind you, having said that, it’s worrying that so many voted for a monster who had already tried to overthrow the constitution in the Capitol riots. I waver between being incensed and shrugging my shoulders and saying ” it was ever thus”.

      1. Further congressional impeachment efforts and consistently demanding a vote on each effort via “rule 9”, in the House of Representatives, would hurry events along, I believe. But do the American people have the will, right now, to push their congress toward that end?

      2. I wonder if the administration now has power over the army having filled senior posts with it’s own men? As it seems to have done with the media and the law courts. If so, I guess it’s game over. Assuming the police and ICE would follow their orders. Very chilling and so tediously familiar the world over.

  9. I have tried, and failed, to write a post about my contempt for Trump. Your post was everything I hoped mine would be. Bravo.

Living in Texas, I find it very hard to forgive the voters who reelected him despite his impeachment, lack of morality and poor presidential skills.

  10. Thank you for your likes on my blog. I’m very impressed by what you’ve put out here. Kind of puts mine to shame. I feel that I’m more one of those people oppressed and made to suffer by this administration than one qualified to blast it away. But, I keep trying anyway. It gives me inspiration to read your stuff. Have a nice week.

      1. Indeed. it’s probably my greatest… surprise at what’s going on. Never before has humanity been so educated. And never before has it been so stupid?

  11. I dropped by your site because you had LIKED one of my blog posts (Thank You!).

This is the first of your posts that I have read &, frankly, I’m hooked. This is funny, extremely well written, true & frightening because it is who some of us are now by choice & that frightens me. It is also refreshing to find others who share my opinion of this administration & the sadness at the destruction of this country & all that I have held dear my entire life. My husband & I have found that same comradery at the NO KINGS rallies.

I look forward to reading more of your work & plan to FOLLOW you. I see several other people I follow commenting here.

Thanks again for sharing this with the world. It makes a difference.

    1. Kind of you to say so. I am so glad you and so many of your fellow countrymen are protesting – I hope for a huge reversal in your November mid-terms. And yes, its nice to know there are some of us who can see this insanity for what it is.

  12. Trump is an embarrassment to many if not most rational Americans. When traveling, I feel it’s incumbent, if not necessary, for me to apologize for his ignorance and abhorrent behavior.

    1. I’m a “cultural Christian” but even that is becoming increasingly difficult. I go to High Anglican church and love evensong. But it sometimes feels very hollow

  13. I had to read the other comments before saying anything, because at first I honestly wondered if this was another Trump moment. I believe many people can hear those very descriptions, know they apply, and still remain unfazed. That, to me, reflects how much decency has been worn down by what so many have grown accustomed to.

There is an old song titled If Jesus Came to Spend Some Time with You whose lyrics ask a simple but powerful question: what would you do? It spoke to audiences of the 1970s and 80s, but if played for today’s world, would people even hear it?

  14. Easily the most despicable public figure America has ever seen. His administration, his sycophants in Congress, and six Supreme Court justices (who just gutted the final Voting Rights Act protection against racial gerrymandering) all need strung up like Mussolini. Those who voted for him and still support him should be forced to do the rounding up and stringing up. Nothing can be done at the moment, but hopefully a revolution is around the corner.

  15. Plenty can be done right now. Simply. Legally. And as written in the constitution. Just contact your congressional representative, tell him or her to invoke some articles of impeachment and to also invoke “rule nine” to force a vote. They’ve got to force votes. Enough citizens call or mail these representatives with such orders and over the precipice congress goes ~ like a herd of buffalo. But ~ do the American people have the will ~ to call or e-mail or lick a stamp?

  16. Trump has opened people’s eyes to the brutal imperialism of the USA. I’m happy for him to keep going until everyone knows it and the power dissolved.

USAsians are welcome to help the rest of the world along its way too 👍

    1. Were I a US citizen I most certainly would. As it is I can only fervently hope that enough of you turn out in November to enable the stains to be washed out by the voters. Unless by then the the Fascist in the Ginger Toupee has such tight control he organises a putsch.
